Hawd Climate Guardian and the Elbarde District Administration have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise their cooperation on climate resilience, rangeland restoration, and community-led adaptation in Bakool Region.

The agreement establishes a clear framework for joint planning, implementation, and monitoring of climate programmes — strengthening local governance structures and community ownership of HCG’s work in South West State Somalia.

Going forward, this formal partnership is expected to enable faster project implementation, better resource coordination, and joint planning of climate services for vulnerable communities across Bakool.
